SAMAN PAJOOHAN ARYA GOSTAR ( SPAG ) co. with the fundamental idea of “research and development of zeolite-science, consultation and instructing the industries to make them familiar with attributes and actual position of zeolites, and running the related projects” was established in order to supply the country’s need to zeolites as catalyst, adsorbent and molecular sieves. This company has been located at Incubator Center of Science & Technology Park of Tehran University since November, 2006. The primary activities of this company have been in order to provide facilities and orchestrate the office’s environment with company’s operational activities resulting in being equipped as laboratory. The followings describe the company’s activities from the settled day up to now.
Running Professional projects:
SAMAN PAJOOHAN ARYA GOSTAR co. is the first and the unique corporation that is professionally centralized on zeolite-field. So, running professional projects related to corporation employees’ professions is the best path to acquire the expected financial goals and, more important is that, to be known within other competitors. Because of this, the company has delivered more than 60 proposals to many organizations that in which in accordance to company employees’ abilities, the project has been set up. Following to members of corporation, some of our proposed projects to Iran’s Environment Protection Organization, Tehran Regional Water Organization, Iran’s National Petrochemical Company and, especially, National Iranian Oil Products Refining & Distribution Company have been approved. 1. Fabricating high performance dual-zeolite thin membrane through nanotechnological methods such as micro emulsion for separating of hydrocarbons.

3. Evaluating the possibility of applying new laboratory methods at laboratories of Tehran Water and Sewage Company.

Laboratory (Zeolite production):
The most important scientific achievement of SPAG is the producing of zeolite materials and membranes by using limited laboratory facilities and also building laboratory facilities required for producing zeolite by using new methods and for the first time in Iran. Because of the lack of finance and equipments, experts of the company decided to produce their required facilities by applying native facilities and knowledge and by using the least financial facilities and equipments they attempted to obtain high performance and quality equipments. In this way, laboratory microwave oven for synthesis of zeolites (by changing and modifying home microwave), mini pilot of synthesis of zeollites (kg per day) and also high speed centrifuge for seperating the nano particles, all together and for the first time in country have been built by this company. After years of attempting and using zeolites , the idea of producing various kinds of zeolites for laboratory consumption come in true and this company make its products , with SPAG trade mark , accessible for researchers. Some of the research and laboratory services and projects done by the experts of SPAG like as synthesis of various types of zeolite powder, zeolite membrane and zeolite catalyst are as follow:
- Synthesis of 3A, 5A, 4A zeolite in laboratory scale and bench scale for laboratory uses

One of the most important section of SPAG , Research and Development (R & D) section , which is in a close relationship with country’s universities and active professors in the zeolites-field has been succeeded to conduct and instruct more than 20 BA, MA and PhD students from the most credible universities of country in order to run university projects related to zeolite science and technology, and, specially, in nano material knowledge, since 2 years ago. The broad and successful activities of this company in research sciences and in nano materials basis resulted in electing the Tehran University Incubator Center as the unique preferable unit between other university techno-units at 2007 and electing the SPAG as the preferable entrepreneur of the province at 2008.
Instruction:
SPAG Company at the time of entering to Tehran University Incubator Center decided to establish workshop titled “ safety in laboratory “ for employees of different laboratories. Because of large acceptance by the addressees, the company decided to centralize some of its activities on professional instruction. Therefore, in both zeolite basis and zeolite applications basis, 26 instructional courses have been run. Moreover, SPAG, signed some mutual agreements with some other active companies in this field by which two sides can run joint courses by using each other’s facilities. One of the most important achieved proposes of SPAG was the signing of scientific mutual agreement with Malaysian National University (UKM) in the basis of scientific research into zeolite knowledge. Moreover, SPAG, by knowing and having access to Iran’s zeolite professors and experts network and by considering the needs of native researchers and their activities’ fields, with cooperating of AMIR KABIR University run the first Iran International Zeolite Conference (IIZC’08) that created opportunity to provide the newest scientific outputs about zeolites . In this two days long conference, more than 300 articles in the form of presentations and poster were carried and 300 participants from universities, research centers and active companies in zeolite basis have participated. It must said that, this conference was consulted by well known world zeolite scientists resulting in International Zeolite Societies being familiar with the related activities in Iran which have caused to more scientific corporation.

At the same time of running instructional workshop, this company has actively participated in related international scientific conferences. International zeolite conference in China, international chemistry conference in Canada , international chemical engineering in Germany, International Zeolite Conference in Tehran, Tabriz International Nano Conference , Nano Conference in Isfahan University of Technology, Nano Conference in university of petroleum industry and its research center, and Nano Conference in Engineering Faculty of Tehran University were the events in which SPAG introduced its research and instructional services by providing many articles in the form of presentations or posters.
